Blog Fixes: Because Apparently I Zoomed in on the Wrong Spot (Oops)
So, remember how I was feeling all proud of the layout and images on this blog? Yeah… turns out I zoomed in on all the wrong things. Like, instead of showcasing the masterpiece, I gave y’all a close-up tour of a doorknob. My bad.
And let’s not even talk about mobile view. Because of course I forgot it. You know, the view literally everyone uses unless they’re trapped in 2009 with a desktop dinosaur.
Anyway, I fixed it. Or at least I tried. If it still looks janky, just squint and pretend it’s modern art.
🛠️ Fixed:✔️ Zoomed-out the weirdness✔️ Mobile now doesn’t look like it was coded by a raccoon✔️ My pride (pending)
Let me know if anything’s still wonky—I’ll pretend I know how to fix it. 😎📱
Yesterday was my MC 201 – Writing for Mass Media final, and I walked out of it feeling surprisingly great. Maybe not drop-the-mic great, but a solid 50/50 “I crushed it or I blacked out from confidence” great. Either way, I’ll take it.
What really made today special was the conversation I had with my professor beforehand. What really stuck with me today was the genuine conversation I had with my professor before class. For someone with a military background navigating the world of liberal arts academia, these moments of connection are rare—and valuable. This professor, along with two others, has honestly changed the game for me. 🙌
It hasn’t always been that way, though. One professor (who shall remain nameless but definitely not forgotten 😒) made me seriously question whether coming back to school was a mistake. He openly expressed a lack of respect for military service, especially directed toward me. That moment hit hard—but it also lit a fire. He didn’t win. Instead, it opened my eyes, and three other amazing professors reminded me that I do belong here. 🎖️📚
It’s definitely been an adjustment taking classes with students fresh out of high school. I’ve learned a lot, especially about the deep-rooted art of showing up ten minutes late with iced coffee in hand. But seriously, I’ve been proven wrong in all the best ways—by the camaraderie, the laughs, and even the group projects I secretly dreaded.
One more final tomorrow, and then I’m done. It’s been a wild, rewarding, and at times bumpy road, but if you're reading this, thank you for being on this ride with me.
💬 Let’s make this a two-way convo! Drop a comment: What’s a moment that made you feel like you were exactly where you were meant to be—even if it didn’t feel like it at first?
