Friday Feels: It'll Be What It'll Be

ree

Had one of those morning chats that just hits different. You know the ones—where you're suddenly knee-deep in existential wisdom before your coffee’s even cooled off.

The line that stuck with me:"It’ll be what it’ll be."And wow, what a peaceful mindset that is.

Lately, I’ve been easing off the gas pedal of expectations—both for myself and for others. I used to stretch myself in 20 directions and somehow expected people to do the same for me.

Plot twist: they didn’t. And instead of being mad about it, I’ve found a new word:“Nahhhh.”Elegant, simple, effective.

This new version of me? She's softer, calmer, and way more at peace. Shout out to the meds one more time—because let’s be real, some folks have opinions about mental health treatment.

But here’s mine:I was unnaturally unhappy 24/7.Even during “fun” times, something just felt off. Now? I feel balanced. I still get frustrated, sad, or anxious, but I actually process it instead of marinating in the misery. Then I move on.

🧠✨ Interactive time:What’s one expectation you’ve recently let go of that made life feel lighter? Drop it in the comments—maybe you’ll inspire someone else to do the same.

Internship Diaries: Baby Bump & Big Smiles

Today at Baby Bump Imaging, LLC is a whole vibe.I got to help set up their first-ever newborn photography room—it’s not fully finished, but it already feels like magic. Give me organizing and rearranging anything and I’m like a kid in a candy store.

Plus, the clients? So. Dang. Sweet. There’s something contagious about the happiness in that building. People walk in excited and leave glowing. Total contrast to STS—(kidding, Dale... kind of 😏).

And now? My Friday night looks like this:

🛋️ Selling a couch

📦 Moving stuff into the garage

🏠 Getting ready for my almost final move

Yes, this type of night genuinely excites me. Downsizing has been such a peaceful process—like shedding an old skin. I used to think I needed a big space to hold everyone else’s stuff or presence. But guess what? Everyone’s got their own place now. So here I go... again... hopefully for the second-to-last time.

Why second-to-last?Because in true Brittany fashion, I plan to snag a

vacation home and become a snow bird sometime in my 30s. Not even a wild dream—just a checklist item now.

🕊️ What’s your peaceful Friday energy look like? Are you on the “nahhhh” train yet?Tell me your best “it’ll be what it’ll be” moment this week👇
